About Us
We have a vision of a united society
Who We Are
An indigenous movement born in the midst of a raging civil war in Lebanon in 1985 transcending the enduring challenge of sectarianism in Lebanon. Our vision is to “gather the entire family of Lebanon, a treasure for humanity” by “serving with and for the Other” while practicing our core values of Respect, Forgiveness, and Love.
Offrejoie has been one of the first and most effective organization to support and aid the victims of the Beirut August 4 Blast. Our rehabilitation efforts have been the biggest resulting in the renovation of 1,400 residential apartments and 39 shops in 157 buildings located in the neighborhoods of Karantina, Rmeil, Mar Mikhael and home to 5,000 people who were able to return to their safe and dignified houses.
Offrejoie believes that fragmented societies can heal through the creation of human relationships born of shared opportunities to serve the community. By serving together a spirit of mutual regard and esteem grows fostering a sense of solidarity and a new understanding of citizenship.
Offrejoie has representation in France, US and Iraq, with each entity operating independently and without systematic and organized linkages.
Our Values
At Offre Joie, we are guided by three core values: Love, Respect, and Forgiveness. These principles form the foundation of our organization and shape everything we do.
Love
Offre Joie understands the necessity of a fair and appeased society where human relationships transcend communitarian barriers. We believe in fostering a culture of love and compassion, where individuals extend kindness and support to one another regardless of their background or beliefs. Love, to us, means embracing diversity, practicing empathy, and striving for the well-being of all members of society. It’s about recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of every individual and treating others with kindness, generosity, and understanding.
Respect
Offre Joie promotes the value of respect for all individuals, regardless of their social status, ethnicity, or religion. We believe in supporting the most vulnerable without any discrimination and opposing all forms of ignorance, contempt, and isolationism. Through a genuine open-mindedness, we appreciate the richness of human differences and learn from them. Respect, to us, means recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of every person, treating them with dignity and courtesy, and embracing diversity as a source of strength and enrichment.
Forgiveness
Offre Joie recognizes the importance of forgiveness in fostering reconciliation and healing wounds. We understand that each person’s suffering is unique and encourage individuals to recognize the suffering of others as equal to their own. By analyzing the past objectively, we pave the way for forgiveness and mutual trust to be at the core of a society that never compromises on fundamental human rights. Forgiveness, to us, means letting go of resentment and anger, acknowledging the humanity in others, and working towards building a future based on understanding, compassion, and mutual respect.
